Burning Grass

For many years this Spring to Come period, which clearly increases the number of fires meadows areas and wasteland. This is caused by, unfortunately, burning grass and plant residues. Areas of last year's dried vegetation, which is due to occur in the time periods of the growing season is the perfect combustible ground, which in combination with the high activity of the human factor in the sector, resulting in a sharp increase in fires. For more than 94% of its causes is responsible man, still for generations among many farmers are convinced that the grass will be burned faster and rich regrowth of young grass, and thus bring economic benefits.
Burning of grass and scrub is illegal! It is one of the most brutal methods of destroying the environment. Despite appearances, the burn does not give any benefit, on the contrary - brings only harm to wildlife, and man himself.

I. The negative impact of grass fires on human

Every year, it appears that grass burning can be a result that people are dying. They are most often those who had stirred up the fire on wasteland. usually the cause of death is heart attack, heat stroke, or sudden change in wind direction, and that increase the size of the flame - which is usually a surprise to people burning. Burning grass unknowingly pollute our atmosphere. A large number of fires in the country emits into the atmosphere dozens of tons of carbon monoxide and other dangerous chemicals.

II. The negative impact of grass fires on animals

Death lurks in flames at the birds. Fire destroys breeding sites for many bird species that nest on the ground or in the zone of shrubs. Burnt sockets are already occupied - with cysts or chicks (eg so loved by all of us larks). Smoke prevents the bees, bumble bees flown meadows, these insects are dying in the flames, causing a reduction in the number of pollinated flowers, which lowers plant yield. Burning grass is also dangerous for pets that accidentally find themselves within range the fire, because they lose orientation in smoke, are subject to asphyxiation. This also applies to forest big animals such as deer or wild boar. Flames destroy the habitats of wild game, including pheasants, partridges, hares and even roe deer. In flames or as a result of elevated temperatures dies many useful vertebrate animals: amphibians (frogs, toads, lizards), mammals (moles shrews, hedgehogs, hares, foxes, badgers, martens, voles, micromys, shrews and other small rodents). When burning ants are dying. One of their colony can destroy up to 4 million pest insects a year. Ants eating the remains of plant and animal facilitate the decomposition of organic matter and humus enriched layer, ventilate the soil.
